From a business problem to an app brief
Give the builder a useful brief before asking it to generate an application.

01
Describe the user and the job
Say who will use the application, what they need to achieve and what success looks like. A client portal needs a different experience from an internal reporting dashboard.
02
Define the smallest useful version
List the essential screens, data fields and decisions. Include an empty state, an error state and what happens when someone has no permission. Leave optional features for a later iteration.
03
Use representative sample data
Prototype with invented or deliberately sanitised records. Check mobile layouts, validation and navigation. Export and review the generated code before deciding how to run it for customers.
04
Distinguish a preview from production
A working preview is a useful milestone, not proof that security, backups, capacity and support are ready. Generated applications need an appropriate review before real business use.
